Have you logged in and set a password for My Hawkeye, your Hawkeye email, the network, or Canvas?

• YES, I have logged in to My Hawkeye, my Hawkeye email, the network, or Canvas: Your My Hawkeye, Hawkeye email, network, and Canvas password is the same.

• NO, I haven't logged into anything: Your initial password is Hawkeye followed by your birthday in six digits. Example: If your birthday is January 4, 2002, your initial password will be Hawkeye010402. Once you are logged in you will need to change your password. Please choose a password you will remember.

Resetting Your Password

New Users

If this is your first time logging in, do not reset your password. Your initial password is Hawkeye followed by your birthday in six digits. Example: If your birthday is January 4, 2002, your initial password will be Hawkeye010402.

Once you have logged in you will be prompted to change your password.

Returning Users (including students who have taken Hawkeye classes in high school)

If you are having problems logging onto My Hawkeye, your Hawkeye email, the network, or Canvas and your password needs to be reset, you can:

• Reset your password online.

• Visit the Student Tutoring and Computer Lab or the Hawkeye Library. You must show a valid picture ID such as your Hawkeye Card or driver's license before your password can be reset.

• Call to have your password reset by telephone. Be prepared to answer a few identification confirmation questions.

  • Contact the Student Tutoring and Computer Lab weekdays until 4:30pm at 319-296-4029. 
  • Contact the Library weekday evenings and on Sundays at 319-296-4006. See the Library's regular hours.
